Network Hubs

TDM are specialised in setting up large communities of practise by taking advantage of Moodle and Mahara integration capabilities. We network together sites across different institutions or organisations with single sign on access to a hub site. The hub is a place where community members can meet up to collaboratively develop content and to discuss problems and recommendations. This system is an excellent choice for creating a knowledge-sharing community, linking together organisations who have similar interests to your own. We feel there are some core advantages to creating networked communities of practice.

Economies of Scale

It doesn't make sense for lots of different organisations interested in similar content to be developing their own Moodle courses when they could be sharing 90% of it.

Best Practice

One of the best ways to improve the quality of your content is to discuss best practice in communities. Learn off other enthusiastic community members about their experience in creating content for their software. Not only will this save training cost, but also help to enthuse your in-house instructional designers.

Central Support Network

The likelihood is that many different organisations will encounter exactly the same issues within their own Moodle or Mahara site. Instead of everybody spending time finding the same answer, you can share your knowledge.

Setting up a network like this not only requires the setting up of a technical infrastructure, it also requires the development of a community. TDM have a strong track-record in creating both.  Please, contact us if you would like to know more about these innovative schemes.
