Derrin Kent
Managing Director
Derrin has been involved with web development and e-Learning since the year 2000 and with Moodle since 2005.Derrin has worked continuously in Corporate-Sector Education and Corporate-Sector Educational Management since graduating in Education Studies in 1988. Derrin has been involved with WBL delivery in the UK since 2004. He has an NQF Level 7 Teaching Diploma from the University of Cambridge and is also an LPIC Qualified Linux Professional.
Derrin speaks Spanish at home with his Peruvian wife and two bilingual toddlers: Salvador and Micaela.
Glenys Bradbury
Project Manager
Glen has been working with TDM since December 2008. After obtaining her science degree from the University of the Newcastle upon Tyne, she went on to study for her MB Bchir and in the process learnt a great deal about mentoring and tutoring at HE level. She then spent ten years in business management before returning to the educational sector. She is a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner and is the customer and Project Manager for the organisation. Her job is to make sure that all of our customers are happy and that our projects are running smoothly.
Elizabeth Kent
Training Manager
Ely has been working at TDM since 2009. She is graduated from the National University of Trujillo in 2000 with a degree in teaching, specialising in languages. She has worked alongside teachers and teacher trainers in Peru to improve teaching delivery in a wide range of subjects, from primary education up to adult learning.
Tom Bell
Learning Technologist
Tom graduated in Environmental Science in 2009. He has now been working for TDM for seven months as an Instructional Designer and Learning Technologist and has already established himself as a cornerstone of our team. He is also on the senior management team of localeyes, a community building website, and has helped us gain our high standing with ESF on our sustainability and equal opportunities policies.
Meg Kent
Trainer / Assessor
Meg has worked as a Corporate Director in the field of Work-Based Learning since 1991. She worked her way up into this position from the grassroots roles of a management trainer and contract manager. She was chairperson of the National Training Federation (NTF) - Midlands Region in the 1990's and chairperson of the Birmingham & Solihull Training Provider Network 2002-2006; she was also involved in LSC strategic planning as a member of both the Midlands region LSC Policy Forum and the National LSC Rate Review Panel. Meg is a World Class Skills Sector Coach.
Meg is passionate about the benefits of Open Source Software and has proven skills in identifying the strengths of a business and using them as a vehicle to drive forward continuous improvement in quality performance and profitability.
Husman Ahmed
Technology Team Manager
Husman graduated from Aston university with a 2.1 BSc Honours degree in Computing Sciences, and a MSc in Computing and Networking. His undergraduate work placement involved building online European language learning tools and compiling electronic corpora. Leading the rest of the team, Husman is responsible for TDM managed hosting, and also participates in development projects.
Richard Hand
Information Technologist
Richard has been working at TDM since 2008. He graduated from the University of Bristol in Summer 2008 with a degree in Computer Science. Most of his work involves theming and configuring Moodle and Mahara and Joomla websites.
Luis David Hoyos Gamero
Illustrator / Graphic Artist
David is a Communication Sciences Graduate (from Universidad Privada del Norte, Trujillo – Peru.) He is a graphic artist and illustrator who has also received honourable mentions in his university for cinematography and creative publicity. He produces bespoke graphics, illustrations and videos which are used within TDM learning materials.
